My husband, Ryan, and I would be "where city meets southern". We live in "the city" but are hopes are to be on a ranch one day, as we love the outdoors. We got married on June 26th, 2010 and we are blessed with such a wonderful life. We are best friends, and he is the love of my life. Life has thrown us some challenges, but those have only made our family stronger. We truly believe that God has a plan for our lives and that with challenges comes blessings. All I know is I am one very lucky girl.
My husband is definitely a southern gentleman, raised a country boy on a ranch, and I absolutely love that about him. His southern ways totally won me over :) He has the biggest heart, and definitely wears it on his sleeve. He is caring, giving, thoughtful, and always tells me how he feels. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He works so hard for our family and he has determination beyond belief. He is so talented and doesn't even know it...such a humble guy....that's my husband :)
As for me, I am not really a "city girl", but more of a girl that likes her shopping/fashion, but also loves to ride horses, fish, hunt and be on the lake. What some people actually don't know about me is, I was raised country. I was raised with my parents on several acres by the lake. I got dirty, roamed the woods, and played in a tree house....no not the city style tree house, but one my dad built in an actual tree in the woods, just for me. and I wouldn't trade it for any mall or big city....being in the country, it is peaceful, no city noise, no distractions...just real life. I am southern at heart, I am a wife to the most amazing hubby everrrrr, a mother (of two doggies), and I am slightly obsessed with weddings and designing bridal accessories. This obsession developed into a business, Bridal Couture Girls, which turned out to be a pretty awesome blessing. Designing bridal accessories is probably tied with horses on my obsession list :) I just might post a lot of pictures of our horse Ivy (Ivy League). My husband might argue that my love for reality TV and E! is slightly on the top of that obsession list, as our DVR might be loaded with all kinds of drama shows. :)
Ryan and I have two yorkies, Beau and Sissie, and a horse named Ivy ("Ivy League"). They are our kids, no joke. We love the outdoors, the lake, and fishing, and we love spending time with our family. We have the most amazing family. We can't wait to start a family of our own some day very soon. one day soon we will end up on a little ranch of our own. We are just two down-to-earth people with southern roots.
We hope you enjoy our blog!
